Reminder STARS 5th Clinic - Wed. February 4th at West Resort

Good Afternoon STARS:

Just a reminder about our SENIOR PROGRAM STARS 5th CLINIC this coming Wednesday, February 4th at 9:00 am at West Resort.

Plan to get there a little early so you can purchase your ticket so you will be on time for your lesson. If you booked your lesson online, just plan on meeting me inside the Big Pines Lodge.

Check in will be from 8:00 am – 9:00 am.

The weather will be perfect with the temperatures in the mid 50's and crystal clear blue skies. Looks like we will be able to make some NEW snow this Saturday night, as conditions will be perfect for snowmaking. I will keep you update on snow and weather conditions on Monday’s email.

STARS Clinic 1/28/15

A spring day greeted 34 seniors today for our 4th Clinic of the season. Inspite of the spring conditions the snow was very good, especially on top of the mountain.
Before we hit the snow a history of Mountain High was delivered by George Dynes, Senior Certified Instructor and was well received by everyone. After our group photo we broke up into our groups and hit the slopes for our 2 1/2 hour clinic. After the clinic I noticed the Instructors and Seniors were having lunch at the Foggy Google and just enjoying the weather and the companionship. Next week clinic should be a repeat of today. Good snow and a great time for Seniors and Instructors. A BIG THANK YOU to all Seniors for attending today and we are looking forward to our 5th Clinic next week on Wednesday, February 4th at 9:00 am at the West Resort.

4th STARS Clinic Reminder

3rd STARS Clinic at West Resort

Hi STARS:
Great day today with lots of sunshine and the snow was really good. The cooler temps kept the snow in great condition and it was like skiing and riding with regular winter snow conditions. We introduced four (4) NEW Seniors to our program to go with our 36 who attended today. We are averaging 44 Seniors each week. Flyers were passed out to all seniors hoping you will bring a friend next week. Please have them email me so I can put them down on our roster.

We welcome back Heinz Thun to STARS as he has been busy teaching in Mammoth. Its alway nice to have our family back together for our Senior Program.

STARS Clinic, Wednesday, January 21, 2012

Hi STARS:

This is just a reminder for our 3^rd Seniors STARS Clinic of the season on Wednesday, January 21st at 9:00 am at the West Resort. If you have not registered for online purchase of your lesson or lift ticket, please purchase your ticket and your lesson before 9:00 am at the ticket counter so you can meet your instructor in the Big Pines Lodge at 9:00 am.

With temps dipping in the low teens we might be able to turn on those snow guns on Tuesday evening. This would give us some fresh snow to ski and ride on for Wednesday.

Please RSVP as soon as you can, so I can have enough instructors for you.

STARS Clinic 1-14-15

We could not have picked a better day for the 2nd STARS Clinic of the season. Mid 40's today with a blanket of new snow from our snowmakers. We had 46 Seniors take part and we introduced 6 NEW Seniors to our program. We had an indoor clinic by Ron Parody and John Ward on how to tune and wax your skis and board. Several questions where asked by our Seniors and then we hit the snow for our STARS clinic.

Next week should be a lot of the same with the weather in the mid 40's and if the low temps continue to be in the 20's we should have some NEW snow to ski and ride on.

Just a reminder about our SENIOR PROGRAM STARS 2nd CLINIC this coming Wednesday, January 14th at 9:00 am at West Resort.

 

Plan to get there a little early so you can purchase your ticket so you will be on time for your lesson. If you booked your lesson online, just plan on meeting inside the Big Pines lodge.

 

Check in will be from 8:15 am – 9:00 am. 9:00 am will be doing an indoor clinic on “how to tune and wax your skis/board." We plan to hit the slopes at 9:30 am sharp!

 

The weather will be perfect with the high temperatures in the mid 40's and crystal clear blue skies. We have plenty of snow so make sure your boards and skis are wax and you are ready to go this Wednesday.

 

We will have another bluebird day this WEDNESDAY!

Reminder STARS Clinic 1-14-15

Good Evening STARS: 

 Reminder for our 2^nd Senior STARS Clinic on Wednesday, January 14^th. We will be at the West Resort and the temperature will be in the mid 40’s. Conditions for snowmaking are very good for this coming week too so we might see some new snow for our clinic.

to purchase your lesson, lift ticket and rentals if needed.

For those who did not attend the Senior clinic last week, attached you will find the registration form which you will need to fill out and take to the TICKET WINDOW AT THE WEST RESORT with your ID. There you will receive your Express Pass ($5.00 fee) so you will be ready to purchase your lesson, lift ticket or rentals online from the comfort of your own home.

STARS 1/7/15

Hi STARS: 

Could not have been a better day today at Mountain High West Resort. Temperature was in the low 50’s and we had 51, yes 51 seniors take part in our first clinic of the season. Everyone got through registration without a hitch, we updated all of you on how we can grow our program and, greeting from management and at 9:30 we hit the snow.

Comments from our seniors and instructors were very positive and the weather and snow was our greatest asset today. We had great coverage and it looks like we will be able to make snow later on in the week. 

We had the privilege in meeting some wonderful NEW seniors to our program. Thanks to all seniors who came today! I know this is going to be a great Senior Program STARS season. 

Looking forward to see all of you on January 14th! Please do not forget to RSVP prior to our Wednesday clinic.
