HI STARS:

Our 10^thand last Senior STARS Clinic was a great time for all. We had 56 Seniors take part on a cool but sunny, blue sky day. 

The snow was very good as spring conditions were great especially upper mountain and of course with all this skiing and riding our STARS were generating an appetite for our luncheon at noon.

There were 65 of us celebrating a fabulous season at our luncheon sponsored by Food and Beverage Department.  Thanks Mike, April and STAFF!

What is really amazing this is the 10th year of our program and we are averaging 59 Seniors each week. Just think where we will be after next year, 70?

We welcomed 6 NEW seniors to the STARS program today and I asked the instructors to make sure they ski and ride them a lot. Guess what, they did!!

A BIG THANK YOU to all the STARS and Instructors celebrating another successful STARS Program, I am very proud to be a part of this wonderful team.

Special THANK YOU to LAURI WARREN for the delicious cake she supplied for the luncheon. Also, to Tom and Roxy Bradley for the special gifts for some of their instructors and me too!! All of you are appreciated!!

Monday Update

Hi STARS:

This is your Monday Update for our last STARS Clinic of the season. I can’t believe it has been 12 weeks since we began. on January 9^th but Wednesday will be our last clinic for this 2019 season.

Just think, it’s only 9 more months and we will begin our 11^th season for the Senior Program STARS.

We will have spring skiing on Wednesday and the temperature should be in the mid 50’s and mostly cloudy. The coverage is great with 24-36 inches of base.

Following the clinic around 12:00 noon we will have our Thank You Luncheon to all Seniors and Instructor’s. This has been a great season and all of us, and we are looking forward to the 2020 Senior Program STARS.

So please RSVP ASAP for Wednesday’s clinic and Luncheon. I have had several Seniors RSVP already, and I just need the rest of you to let me know so I can have enough food for our celebration. 

Please let me know by tonight if possible.

Reminder STARS Clinic 3/27/19

Hi STARS:

Just a reminder for our 10th Clinic of the Senior STARS Program on Wednesday, March 27^th at the West Resort.  

This will be our final clinic of the season. We will be having a luncheon after our STARS clinic around 12:10 pm. The cost for the luncheon will be $5.00. 

I know Food and Beverage will be putting on a great spread with a Mexican theme so all I need you to do is RSVP by this Monday morning. By Monday I will have a good idea how many Seniors will be skiing and riding on our last day.

1-3” of fresh snow fell yesterday adding to our already deep base. West Resort is still 100% open with 6 lifts accessing 34 trails. Coverage is great with a 24-36” base and 60% of the mountain has been groomed. 

Please check out our retail store inside the Big Pines Lodge, as there are soft goods already on sale up to 30% off.. You can receive great deals for you and your family. Don’t miss out!!

Make sure if you are going to buy at the ticket window you do purchase your lesson and lift ticket by 9:00 am. Tickets will not sell you a lesson/lift ticket after 9:00 am.

STARS Clinic March 20, 2019

Hi STARS,

Cooler day today with temps in the high 30’s but we had plenty of snow for the 45 Seniors that participated in the next to last clinic of the season.

Yes, next Wednesday, March 27th will be our last STARS clinic for this winter season. We had 8 NEW Seniors that participated in our program today and their comments were all positive.

Next Wednesday, March 27th we will have our final clinic of the season. We will be having a luncheon after our STARS clinic around 12:10 pm. The cost for the luncheon will be $5.00. I know Food and Beverage will be putting on a great spread with a Mexican theme so all I need you to do is RSVP by this Monday morning. By Monday I will have a good idea how many Seniors will be skiing and riding on our last day.

What a season it has been! With unlimited amounts of natural snow, conditions were excellent all season. Snowmaking and our Groomers always kept skiing and riding conditions above the standard. They both did an outstanding job!

Don't forget to email me your evaluation for the season. Please give us 1 thing we can “glow on”, and one thing we need to “grow on”. 

Luncheon is planned for March 27^th!  $ 5.00

Thank You STARS!!!

Hi STARS:

All of you Senior STARS are terrific! 

Our 8th Clinic of the STARS program was a great success. We had 73 Seniors take part in our clinic with 10 NEW Seniors joining in today. The snow was excellent especially after receiving 2 feet of snow in the past few days. You can't get any better than that at Mountain High.

With today’s Senior count we are averaging 58 Seniors each week. It goes to show you, "If You Build It, Seniors Will Come". Yes our hats are off to all our Seniors these past 8 weeks! All of you have done a great job with all the snow conditions from powder, packed powder and spring conditions.

Next clinic will be Wednesday, March 20^that the West Resort. Don’t forget to RSVP for the clinic.

Please mark your calendar for this date. Since this will be our last Senior clinic of the season we want to Thank You for attending the clinics and we hope you will be leaving with not only a better way to ski and ride but an appreciation for Mountain High Resort too. Monday Update

Hi STARS:

Monday Update for our 8th Senior STARS Clinic on Wednesday, March 13th at the West Resort. We have 24-36 inches of snow and expecting tonight another 4 inches. I know it will be great snow for this coming Wednesday for our clinic.

Road conditions have no restrictions   Please check the Mt High website on updated road conditions at  http://www.mthigh.com/site/trails-and-conditions/conditions/road-conditions1.html

We have a “Star” who is looking to rideshare & share gas/transportation cost to/from Mt High on Wednesday from the West SFV near/along the 101 or 405. If you have room for a passenger & are open to ride sharing, please let me know.

Reminder STARS Clinic-March 13th

Good Morning STARS: 

 

Just a reminder STARS that we have a Senior Clinic on Wednesday, March 13th at the WEST RESORT!!   Don’t forget we will be inside at the Big Pines Lodge at 8:00 am.

 

We have received 4 inches of new snow since Wednesday, and possibly more snow this weekend, so conditions will be excellent for this coming STARS clinic, March 13^th.

 

Remember the ski group you are in is very flexible. If you feel you need to move a little faster we can move you up to that group. Or if you want to move slower, talk with your instructor or myself and we will accommodate you too. We want you to have the BEST experience possible.

STARS Clinic Cancelled

Hi STARS:

 

Mountain High will be receiving lots of rain on Wednesday, so with conditions not the BEST for our STARS program we have cancelled our STARS clinic March 6th. 

 

Positive note we are looking at snow this Thursday and Friday so next week should be a great day.

 

I will send an update next Friday to give you more information on Mt High and conditions for our next Senior STARS Clinic.
