STARS 3/30/11

Good Afternoon STARS:

What a day we had today! Beautiful blue skies and warm temperatures and the snow was soft but workable for all our Senior Ski and Snowboarders.
Our largest group ever of 44 Senior STARS came out for our last clinic and from all of the instructors and myself, everyone seemed to have a great time! As I was skiing around to the different groups; there was a lot of skiing and riding today, which means there has been a lot of improvement with YOU Seniors during the 13 weeks of the STARS clinics.

Not only did we have a fabulous time on the snow, but we finished it off with a fantastic luncheon! A lot of photos were taken out on the snow and during the luncheon, so don't forget to go to http://seniorprogramstars.blogspot.com/ to check them all out.

The Senior Program STARS has been lots of fun this season. We averaged about 27 Seniors each week and this was an increase of about 26% from last year. WOW!! Everyone should feel very proud of this accomplishment. You STARS are great ambassadors for Mountain High. Please keep up the good work and continue to get the word out for next season.

Don't forget your evaluation of our program. Thanks to the Seniors who have already sent their thoughts to me already.

Just an update for Wednesday, March 30th, STARS

Good Afternoon STARS:
Just an update for Wednesday, March 30th, our LAST Senior Program STARS clinic for the season.

When you come to purchase your lesson and ticket, please go to Window 2. You will see a sign that READS…RESERVED FOR SUPER SENIOR STARS. This window is just for YOU!!

Evaluation of our Program: All of you Senior STARS who have taken part in the STARS clinics can really help us out for next season to improve our program.

Please email two responses to me during this next week:

(1) What is one thing that we did very well?
(2) What did not go well or something that we can improve on?

Take a minute to think about it, and please email me your thoughts sometime this week. It was a great 3 months and we at the Winter Sports School (WSS) will be looking forward to the Senior Ski/Snowboard Program STARS next season.

Even though the STARS program is coming to a season's end, Mountain High will be open for a few more weeks.

Reminder STARS Clinic -Wednesday, March 30th at the West Resort

Good Evening STARS:
This is just a reminder for our LAST Seniors Program STARS Clinic Wednesday, March 30th at 9:00 am at the West Resort.

Please purchase your ticket and your lesson by 8:15 AM as anytime after that it has taken 20-30 minutes due to the long lines at the ticket window. You will be on the snow at 9:30 am SHARP!!

We will be having a THANK YOU luncheon for YOU in the Big Pines Lodge after our clinic around 12:15 PM. We will be using the $5.00 voucher coupon for your lunch. I am going to ask each of you to RSVP for the lesson and lunch by Sunday morning March 27th so I can give an accurate lunch count to our Food and Beverage Department.

STARS 3/23/11

Good Morning STARS:

What a great day we had yesterday! 26 STARS participated in our 12 clinic of the season. With the 30- 40 inches of new snow we received this week, our Senior STARS and instructors had a super time. Last night we received additional 6-8 inches of snow and it looks like we will be receiving more snow during the next couple of days. So next Wednesday should be an epic day of skiing and riding. I am predicting too that we will have a "bluebird day" so you will not want to miss it.

I want to remind you that next weeks Senior clinic on Wednesday, March 30th will be our last Senior clinic for this 2010-2011 season. We will be having a "Thank You" luncheon for you after the clinic around 12:15 PM in the Big Pines Lodge and this will be at no cost to you. If you are a vegetarian, please email me and let me know so we can accommodate you too.

The Senior Program team of instructors have had a great time this season. With an increase of about 25% of Senior participants from last year, all of us would like to THANK each and everyone of you who participated in our STARS program. We truly believe that we have had another successful program this season.

I will be sending out after next week an evaluation email. Please answer the two questions and send it back to me ASAP. This way we will be able to have data to make 2011-2012 Senior Program STARS clinics even better.

Reminder STARS Clinic -Wednesday, March 23rd at the WEST RESORT

Good Morning STARS:
Just a reminder about our SENIOR PROGRAM STARS CLINIC this coming Wednesday, March 23rd at 9:00 am. We will be back at the WEST RESORT this week. WHEN YOU PURCHASE YOUR TICKET, PLEASE GO TO ANY LINE AT THE WEST RESORT.

Plan to get there a little early (8:00 am) so you can purchase your ticket and be on time for your lesson. We will meet in the Big Pines Lodge at 9:00 am. We will try and get on the snow by 9:30 am sharp!! This way, you will have more time on the snow with your favorite instructor.

The coverage is excellent with an additional 2-3 feet we receive yesterday and it is definitely winter conditions. Dress for colder temperatures and please RSVP prior to our clinic.

Remember, we will be at the WEST RESORT!

STARS 3/16/11

Hi STARS:

What a day we had today! 35 Senior STARS participated in our second largest clinic of the season. We had beautiful blue skies and warm weather. Everyone was commenting about the soft snow we had but next Wednesday should prove to be a great day with chance of snow at Mt High on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Wednesday, March 23rd will be a great skiing and riding day for our Senior STARS.

Make sure you go to the Senior website http://seniorprogramstars.blogspot.com/ and vote for what the main entree will be for the Senior STARS luncheon on March 30th. Remember, March 30th STARS clinic will be our last clinic of the season. This has truly been a great Senior program this year as we have increased our Senior STARS up 24% from last year. You Seniors are to be credited for that because YOU are our BEST ambassadors for our program. Thanks again for making this a fantastic program. I know all of our Senior STARS instructors and myself are very proud how our second year as gone and we can't wait till next year to continue this program for YOU SENIORS!!

STARS 3/9/11

The tenth STARS clinic of the season was fabulous! 32 Senior STARS took part today under bright blue sunny skies! The weather could not be more perfect. The snow was soft but it did not stop our Seniors from having a great time. I am really looking forward to next Wednesday. The weather should be a little cooler which will keep our snow fresh.

STARS 3/2/11

We had some different conditons for Wednesday's clinic. Little wind, soft snow and a little drizzle at the top. But with all of the changes we saw on Wednesday, 29 STARS participated in our ninth STARS clinic of the season. We had 6 NEW Seniors participate this week and the feedback was very positive. Looks like we will have mild temperatures over the next 5-7 days, so next Wednesday, March 9th should be a great day for our Senior STARS Clinic!! See ya next Wednesday!!
