Senior Program STARS Begins Wednesday, January 5, 2011

Hi STARS:

Well it is time again to get our Senior Program STARS going for 2011!!
We will begin the Senior Program STARS Program on January 5, 2011 at
the East Resort. Mother nature has given us a great start on our ski
and snowboard season. We have lots of snow to have a great time! If

So for 2011 we would like to officially "Welcome" you to the Mountain
High Seniors Ski/Snowboard program (STARS). Senior skiers/snowboarders
are becoming a larger part of the ski industry’s landscape, and it is
our job as professionals to create a niche for you. Each senior skier/
snowboarder will leave with new skills, new confidence, new
acquaintances, and an appreciation of the Mountain High Ski Resort
which they can pass on to family and friends. PSIA Certified
Instructors teach our lessons under the supervision of the Mt. High
Winter Sports School.

Program Offerings: Every Wednesday at 9:00 am at Mountain High East
beginning on January 5, 2011 we will host our senior clinic. We will
begin in the Angeles Crest Cafe with a continental breakfast,
introductory comments, and a 2-hour clinic starting at 10:00 am.
Safety and fun is the key, with the morning being the best time to meet.

Please respond to this email if you will be making a reservation for
January 5th.

Just a reminder:

Cost: Lesson $20. Equipment rental $15 (New shaped skis), and under
age 70 lift ticket - $10 (free age 70 and over).

Beginning of the STARS Program 1/5/11

Our STARS program will begin on January 5, 2011. We just have not made the decision at what resort. Due to the lack of snow, East Resort is not open as yet. If it is not opened then we will hold our STARS clinic at the West Resort. More information will be coming to you via email in the next few days.

2011 Senior Program STARS

Hi STARS!!!

Well.... it's that time again that we need to get those skis/snowboards out of the garage or closet and get them tuned for this ski/snowboard season. Don't forget to get your equipment waxed and are ready for our first STARS clinic on January 5, 2011. Yes, it is just a month away! We are again having our Senior Program STARS at Mt High East Resort. We will be meeting at the Angeles Crest Cafe at 9:00 am on January 5th to have our continental breakfast and to get re-acquainted again and hit the slopes around 10:00 am.

All of the Senior Certified Instructors are ready to go and are looking forward in working with you during the 2011 season at the East Resort. If you have any senior friends or relatives that want to be a part of this program, please have them email me and I will include them in our STARS database. This way they will receive all the updated information as we get closer to the first clinic on January 5th.

Senior Program STARS - 4/7

WOW!! That's all I can say about today. Blue skies, plenty of sunshine and the snow was fantastic! We had 20 Seniors attend the final Senior Program STARS clinic today! After the clinic we had a fabulous lunch in the BullWheel.We shared about next season and bid farewell to a great Senior Ski/Snowboard Program for 2009-2010. Here are a few photos from today!

Senior Program STARS - Last Day-April 7th

On Wednesday, April 7th will be our last day for the STARS Program for this season. After the clinic on Wednesday we will be having a luncheon provided by Food and Beverage in the Bullwheel Restaurant. This should be lots of fun and what a great way to salute all you Seniors who have taken part in our New Seniors Ski/Snowboard Program this season.

For the 2010-2011 season we will begin our STARS Program in December, so make sure you check back here to see what Wednesday we begin. Ski ya later..... Bill

Senior Program STARS - 3/31

It was a cold day today, but our Seniors showed up and skied and snowboard their hearts out. By the end of the morning it started to snow. Snow was very good and all the Seniors and Instructors had a wonderful time. Next Wednesday, April 7th will be our last day. We will be having a luncheon in the Bullwheel Restaurant and all the information will be sent to you by email. Hope to see you all next Wednesday.

Senior Program STARS - 3/24

Today was another beautiful day with lots of sun and spring like conditions at the West Resort. Most of our 18 Senior STARS skied and rode the upper mountain today and the snow conditions were fantastic!! We are looking forward to three (3) more Wednesdays for our Senior Program at West. Projected last day will be April 14th. Here are a few photos from todays clinic.

Senior Program STARS - 3/17

What a beautiful day we had today for the STARS Program. Another "Blue Bird Day" and 55 degrees. The STARS turned out in bunches!! We had 27 Senior Program STARS. WOW..the most we have ever had. Thank you STARS for making this a fantastic day!! Check out the photos and click on each photo to make larger.

Senior Program STARS - 3/10

It was a beautiful day today! The wind was howling 25-30 mph so East Resort was on wind hold for two hours. The 25 STARS went to West Resort where each student was broken down into 6 ski groups based on how they turn their shaped skis. We also had 3 Senior snowboarders go out in lessons as well. It was chilly, but the groups had a super time. Thanks to all of our Senior STARS, you were all terrific!! Special THANKS goes to our Senior Certified Instructors, Bruce, George M., Larry, Ron, Cora, Kathy, George D.,and Heinz in making this day one of the best. It is our largest group ever, 25 Senior STARS. Click on the photo to make larger.

What A "Blue Bird" Day we had today!! Sunny Skies and 1 1/2 Mile of Corduroy. We had 22 Seniors take part in our Wednesday clinic and the photos that follow shows everyone had a super time!!
