Reminder STARS Cliniic-3/5

 Good Afternoon STARS,

Just a quick reminder for our 6th STARS clinic of the season, which will take place on Wednesday, March 5th, at the West Resort. We’ve have 18-22 inches of snow, and the conditions are looking very good. It seems we’ll be riding on corduroy again for the clinic! The weather is expected to be in the low 40s, so make sure to bundle up for another great day on the slopes.

Be sure to purchase your ticket by Monday afternoon to guarantee your spot in the STARS program for this upcoming Wednesday, March 5th.

For New Seniors in the Program:

Please take the Bullwheel Express (the moving carpet) up to the Ski School area at the Reservation Center, located outside the Bullwheel Restaurant. I’ll be there to check you in between 8:15 am and 9:00 am.

Spring Season Pass Sale Starts Saturday, March 8th!

Also, don't forget to send us your Glow and Grow for the season. A big thank you to all the STARS who have already submitted theirs!

Lastly, mark your calendars for the **STARS Luncheon** on Wednesday, March 19th, starting at 11:45 am at the Bullwheel Grill. This year’s luncheon will feature a Mexican-themed buffet and a drink, all for $12 (cash or credit card). We’ll also have a drawing for special gifts—will you be the lucky winner?

STARS Update-2/26/25

 Hello STARS,

Today was a warm day (67°F), and since only a few seniors had signed up for the senior clinic, coupled with less-than-ideal snow conditions, we decided to cancel the clinic. We’re hoping for fresh snow this weekend to help improve coverage and get us back on track.

A friendly reminder for all skiers: be sure to have your bindings checked each season to ensure your safety on the mountain and during STARS clinics.

Lesson Cancellation Notice February 26th – Low Enrollment & Warm Temps

 Hi STARS,  

 

We regret to inform you that due to low enrollment and unseasonably warm temperatures impacting snow conditions, we must cancel the STARS Clinic scheduled for Wednesday, February 26th. We understand this may be disappointing and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.  

 

If you have already purchased your lesson, please email me to reschedule. Seniors who previously requested to reschedule for 2/26/25 will need to email me again with a new date. The next clinic is scheduled for March 5, 2025.

Senior STARS – 6th Clinic Reminder & Updates!

Just a quick reminder about our 6th Senior STARS Clinic happening Wednesday, February 26th at the West Resort! Over the past two months, we’ve had a fantastic time ensuring you’re safe, having fun, and improving your turns—and we’re looking forward to another great session this week.

Spring Ski Conditions – Dress for Warmth!  Temperatures are expected to be in the 60s, creating spring-like conditions. Be sure to dress appropriately to stay comfortable on the slopes.

Hello STARS,

 

What a fantastic day it was on the mountain! The Senior STARS had Mountain High all to themselves, with clear blue skies and no wind in sight.

 

A total of 43 seniors joined us for our 5th clinic of the season. With 22-28 inches of fresh, smooth corduroy, everyone had a blast.

 

The coverage is excellent, and all runs are open, so be sure to come back before our next clinic on Wednesday, February 26th.

 

We also had the pleasure of welcoming 6 NEW seniors to our STARS program! Their most common response? "Can’t wait until next week!" And we can’t wait to see you again.

 

Save the date: our STARS luncheon will be on Wednesday, March 19th. Be sure to mark your calendars!

 

A quick reminder: If you had to cancel your STARS reservation for any reason, you’ll need to pick up your lift ticket at the ticket counter when you sign up for your next clinic. I had 5 seniors cancel due to illness, so those who notified me of their rescheduled clinic date will need to get their tickets at main tickets by the parking lot.

 

Lastly, don’t forget to purchase your lesson by Monday afternoon! We were close to selling out this week.

Great news— we’ve got fantastic snow coverage with 22-28 inches on the slopes! Looks like it will be a beautiful day in the mid 50’s’s with blue skies.

STARS Postponed Due to Rain

 Hi STARS,

 

I hope you're doing well. Unfortunately, due to the rain today and the lack of snow, we’ve had to cancel STARS. If you’re a Senior who purchased for today, please email me with your preferred reschedule date. Most of the Seniors who attended today have already given me their new date, but if you canceled last night and didn’t make it, please let me know which date you’d like to apply your credit to.

 

We want to make sure you have the best experience, but the current weather conditions aren’t ideal for safe skiing and riding.

 

I’ll be keeping an eye on the weather and will reach out with updates as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Monday Update for STARS 2/12/25

 Good Morning STARS, 

Happy Monday! Here’s a quick update on our 4th STARS clinic of the season, taking place on Wednesday, February 12th at the West Resort. 

Current Mountain Conditions:  

- Snow Depth: 18-20 inches  - Snow making continues this week making conditions very good for Wednesday.

- Road Conditions: Open with no restrictions  

- Weather Forecast: Cloudy skies with temperatures in the low-40s—perfect skiing and riding conditions!  Snow coming Wednesday night so it will not affect our program.

Important Reminders: 

- Please remember your instructor from the last clinic to help streamline the grouping process and maximize our time on the slopes.  

- Check-in: Arrive between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM and check in with me.  

- New Participants: If this is your first time attending, you’ll need to sign a liability form and show your ID upstairs at the Bullwheel Grill—this is a one-time requirement for the season.

- Equipment Rentals: Available at the Main Ticket Booth near the Parking Lot  for $15.

Expect cloudy skies with temperatures in the low 40s. We expect snow Wednesday night so this will not impact our clinic. We’ve have  20-25 inches of snow, so coverage is excellent—plenty of snow and plenty of fun!

mportant Update: STARS Clinic on February 5th Canceled

 

Hi STARS,

  

I hope this message finds you well! I wanted to update you on our 4th STARS clinic, originally scheduled for Wednesday, February 5th, at West Resort. 

 

Mountain High currently has 20-30 inches of snowfall, with significant rain expected Tuesday into Wednesday. After careful consideration, we've decided that asking our seniors to ski or ride in these conditions isn’t in your best interest. Your safety always comes first, so we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel the clinic for February 5th.  

 

If you’ve already purchased a lesson, we’re happy to reschedule it for another STARS clinic. Just email me your preferred date, and we’ll take care of the rest.
