In our 4th clinic of the season, Senior STARS enjoyed a mix of sunshine and clouds. A total of 49 seniors participated in the lessons, contributing to a fantastic day for everyone involved.

 

Excitingly, we welcomed 7 new seniors to our group, and their positive feedback highlighted their satisfaction with both the instructor and our program. The seniors indulged in groomed runs, while some also explored off-piste skiing and riding and had a great time.

 

Anticipating the upcoming snowfall from Thursday to Saturday and low temperatures, we're excited about the prospects for excellent snow conditions next Wednesday!

Monday Update Clinic-15 spots left

  

Hello STARS,

 

Greetings for the Monday update on our 4th Clinic within the STARS Program. We're in for delightful weather in Southern California this Wednesday – expect sunshine and crisp air with Santa Ana winds. It's the perfect setting for skiing and riding at Mountain High. 

Please ensure punctuality – our lessons kick off promptly at 9:30 am. To make the most of your lesson time, be here for check-in and equipment collection. Instructors will be navigating the mountain starting at 9:30 am, so early arrival is crucial.

 

For STARS lessons, New Seniors will gather in front of the Bullwheel Grill at 8:30 am, complete a liability form, and show ID to confirm their age over 50. This is a one-time requirement for the season. Some Seniors haven't completed this process; kindly do so on Wednesday.

Check-in at the Winter Sports Center (WSC) is at the Top of the Bullwheel Express Magic Carpet. This is where you can get your Rentals and Lift Tickets. Plan to arrive early as the process might take up to 30 minutes. WSC Check-In Area opens at 8 am.

 

Wednesday's weather forecast predicts sunshine with temperatures in the low 50s, promising another excellent day for our 4th clinic of the season. Wednesday night we expect snow so the following week will have fantastic conditions.

 

We still have available slots for Wednesday, so if you plan to attend the clinic, secure your lesson and lift ticket online as soon as possible.

Reminder STARS Clinic-1/31/24

 Hello STARS,

 

This is a friendly reminder for our Senior STARS about the upcoming 4th Senior Clinic on Wednesday, January 31st at the WEST RESORT!

 

Snow conditions are very good with 18-36 inches of snow, plus we made snow last night all over the mountain, and we're expecting more snowmaking this coming weekend. Remember your ski group from last week, and get ready for another enjoyable Wednesday on the slopes.

 

Your ski group is flexible, so if you feel the need to adjust your pace, don't hesitate to talk to your instructor or me. We want to ensure you have the BEST experience possible.

 Hello STARS,

 

A wise individual once said, "If You Build It, they will Come." Our STARS have once again proven this true, with 52 seniors attending our 3^rd STARS Clinic of the season.

 

Thanks to improved snow conditions this weekend, courtesy of Mother Nature and our fantastic snowmakers, we anticipate excellent coverage for our clinic next Wednesday.

 

Today, we welcomed 12 new seniors into our STARS Family, and our snowboarding community saw growth with 6 enthusiasts exploring the mountain.

 

Blessed with cloudy weather, the dropping temperatures at night and a possibility of snow this weekend might pave the way for another great Senior STARS clinic on Wednesday, January 31^st.

Excitingly, the snow conditions are excellent, boasting 2-4 inches of fresh snow, providing packed powder and groomed slopes. We have plenty of corduroy for a fantastic skiing and riding experience. All roads are clear with no restrictions. 

For new seniors joining us, please meet in front of the Bullwheel Grill at 8:30 am. Remember to sign a liability form with Leah and bring ID to confirm you're over 50.

I hope this message finds you well. This is a friendly reminder about our upcoming SENIOR PROGRAM STARS CLINIC scheduled for this Wednesday, January 24th, starting at 9:00 am. The clinic will take place at the WEST RESORT.

To ensure a smooth check-in process, please plan to arrive a little early, around 8:15 am, so you can check in with me and avoid any delays in joining your respective groups.

Anticipate a beautiful day on Wednesday with clear skies, but do dress appropriately for cooler temperatures, around the mid-40s. It is recommended to purchase any necessary items prior to the clinic.

Punctuality is crucial, so please be on time. This allows us to organize you into the right groups and start the clinic promptly.

We have identified some Senior STARS who need to complete the liability form and show their ID to Leah at the table by the Reservation Center. Remember, this is a one-time requirement for the season. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Thank You STARS

  Hi STARS, 

All I can say about today is “WOW”! What a day we had today! Cloudy skis, temperature in the mid 40’s, snow was excellent and 67 Seniors took part in our 2^nd STARS clinic of the season. 

 

After check in, and a few announcements were made, we welcomed 9 new Seniors to the STARS program, and then I went over the reservation protocol and STARS liability sign off, and car pooling on Snowy days. 

 

We were sold out again and this makes the 2^nd week in a row. We had an issue with some being late but was due to the traffic getting off the 138 and the light taking a long time to change. Hopefully this issue will be resolved by Caltrans. Please arrive around 8:15-8:45 am so you can check in, get your rentals and get with your instructor.

 

At 9:30 am we hit the snow and took our group photo, thanks to  Carries Pirner. STARS photo is attached to this email.

 

If you need any ski or snowboard equipment give Steve Crane  or Chris a call and make an appointment at (818) 225-7669. Just a Monday Update for our 2nd SENIOR PROGRAM STARS CLINIC this coming Wednesday, January 17th at the West Resort. 

 

WE ARE SOLD OUT!!! 

For new Seniors this season and this is your first clinic, please complete a liability form for the STARS program and present your Driver’s license to Leah by the Reservation Center near the Bullwheel Grill upstairs. Remember, this step is a one-time requirement for the season.

Snow conditions are excellent with 18-36 inches of snow and lots of corduroy to ski and ride on. 

 

Remember the ski group you are in is very flexible. If you feel you need to move a little faster we can move you up to that group. Or if you want to move slower, talk with your instructor or myself and we will accommodate you too. We want you to have the BEST experience possible.

 Hello STARS,

What an incredible start to our 15th year of the STARS Program! Today, we welcomed 70 enthusiastic seniors to our meeting spot in front of the Bullwheel Grill. It was fantastic introducing our instructors and sharing a few words from Vice President CFO Michele Roy. 

 

At 9:30 am, we captured our STARS moment with a group photo before splitting into ski and snowboard groups, hitting the slopes to make the most of the amazing weather and snow conditions. The positive feedback from both seniors and instructors was truly heartwarming. With great snow coverage and the possibility of making even more later this week, our season is off to an incredible start.

 

We were privileged to meet some wonderful new faces joining our program. A big thank you to all the seniors who joined us today. I have a strong feeling that this season will be one for the books. Looking forward to seeing everyone on January 17th!

 

Due to the overwhelming registrations last week, we sold out Sunday morningt. If you haven't already, please make sure to secure your spot online as soon as possible. We've already had 60 seniors purchase their spots online for today's session. 

 

Remember, without a reservation, I can't guarantee a spot for you at the STARS clinic if you decide to walk up.

Monday Update- SOLD OUT

Here's an update for our first STARS clinic happening on Wednesday, January 10th at the West Resort.

 

We've been blessed with 30--32 inches of snow, and conditions are looking fantastic. Wednesday expect clear skies with temperatures in the mid-30s. Dress warmly for cooler weather and get ready for a fantastic time.

 

We are sold out for this Wednesday!!

 

Our meeting point will be at 8:15 am outside the Bullwheel Grill, just up the Magic Carpet by the Children's Sports Center. Please bring your driver's license and sign a liability form for the season.

 

For those who opt to purchase at the resort, remember all tickets, lessons, and rentals must be bought at our Reservation Center atop the Bullwheel Carpet. This is where you'll collect your lift ticket, lesson pass, and rentals.

 

 

Please note: Purchases cannot be made at the main ticket window by the parking lot. Instead, take the Bullwheel Express (moving carpet) up to the Ski School area and head to the Reservation Center outside the Bullwheel Restaurant. I'll be there for check-in from 8:15 am to 9:00 am.

 

Attached you will find your parking permit for the day. Kindly show this to the parking attendant when you arrive to the resort.

Exciting news—thanks to recent storms, we’ve got a fresh 3 inches of snow, bringing our total to 28-30 inches. Conditions are primed for an amazing clinic on Wednesday.

 

To secure your spot, make sure to book your lesson online by Monday am. Our lifts kick off at 9:00 am sharp.We have 15 spots left and we will sell out.
