Hi STARS:

A wise man once said," If You Build It, they will Come." Well our STARS have definitely come through again as we had 69 Seniorsattend our 7th STARS Clinic of the season. 

With snow conditions being improved this weekend, thanks to Mother Nature, and also our fabulous snowmakers, we will have excellent coverage for our clinic next Wednesday.

We saluted 10 NEW Seniors today to our STARS Family. Our snowboarders continue to grow as 8 snowboarders came and rode all over our mountain. 

Our weather was perfect with blue skies and plenty of sunshine. With temperatures dropping at night and a possibility of some snow this weekend we could be looking at another Senior STARS clinic on Wednesday, March 6th. 

We want to make sure our program continues to grow so we are asking you to give us 1 thing to Glow on, and 1 thing to grow on.Thanks for your input!

Please make sure if you are going to buy at the ticket window you do purchase your lesson and lift ticket by 9:00 am. Tickets will not sell you a lesson/lift ticket after 9:00 am.

Monday Update

Good Afternoon STARS:

Just a Monday Update for our 7th STARS clinic of the season on Wednesday, February 27th at the West Resort. 

We have 28-48 inches of snow at Mountain High. We will have perfect conditions with cloudy skies and temps around mid 40’s. I know we will have a wonderful time.

Don’t forget to get there early (by 8:00 am) if you need to purchase the lesson, lift ticket or rentals.

Reminder STARS Clinic 2-27-19

Hi STARS:

Just a reminder Senior STARS, we have our 7^th Senior Clinic on Wednesday, February, 27 at the WEST RESORT!! Don’t forget we will be inside at the Big Pines Lodge at 8:00 am for sign in.  

Woo Hoo! 19" of NEW snow has fallen this week. That's more than 5 feet this month! This is the snowiest February in years. Take the short drive on Wednesday for our 7th Senior STARS clinic.

STARS Clinic 2-20-19

Hi STARS:

WOW..WOW…WOW….this is all I have to say about our Seniors TODAY! There were 69 Seniors that skied and rode today in beautiful 27-degree weather.

We welcomed 12 NEW Seniors and welcome back our 90 year old Senior STARS Eugene Thomas who has been with us for many years. Eugene took a year off last year but he was making some great turns today.

One of our STARS was making a turn in the beginning of the lesson and hyper-extended her leg. Ski Patrol helped her in but I saw her in the Big Pines Lodge after the clinic and she told me she would be back next Wednesday. Glad you are ok, Jean Marie!

The snow was excellent with the 9 inches of snow we received in the past week, and the groomers did a great job as usual making sure we had plenty of corduroy to ski and ride on.

Reminder STARS Clinic, February 20th

Good Afternoon STARS:

Just a reminder for our 6^th STARS Clinic of the season on Wednesday, February 20th 9:00 am at the West Resort!  I believe cancelling our last clinic was in the BEST interest of everyone as we had rain and wind at the resort.

Looks like Mother Nature is going to bring us some Fresh Snow tonight and into Monday so Wednesday should be an epic day!

Plan to get here a little early (8:00 am) so you can purchase your lesson and lift ticket so you will be on time for your lesson. If you booked your lesson online, just plan on meeting me inside the lodge at the West Resort.

STARS Update Clinic Cancelled

Hi STARS:

Our 6th Clinic is cancelled due to the impending rain. Yes we expect rain on Wednesday, so to keep everyone dry and safe we will postponing our 6th clinic till 2/20/19. All of the Seniors who have purchased their lesson and /or lesson and lift ticket online will be credited to the next STARS clinic.

Hi STARS:

Just a reminder for our 6^th Senior Program clinic on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the West Resort.  Snow conditions are getting better each day as we received 4 inches of fresh snow today and 3 -4 inches of snow tomorrow afternoon.

 

Skiing and riding will be enjoyed by all on Wednesday especially you Senior STARS. We have about 10 NEW Seniors that will be joining the clinic and I know you will welcome them with open arms.

Thank You STARS

Hi STARS,

It was beautiful today with lots of sun and few clouds for our 5th Clinic of the season. Senior Program STARS was attended by 75 and held in perfect conditions on 3 feet of NEW snow manicured meticulously by the groomers.

We are expecting snow Friday night into Saturday so this will set up for a great Seniors STARS clinic on 2-13-19.

 Big salute to our NEW Seniors attended today. All 8 had a great time as witnesses by the instructors who taught them in their clinic.

Our indoor clinic this morning by Ron Parody gave you some special insights about how you should tune and wax your skis and snowboards.

Good job, Ron!

Monday Update

Good Afternoon STARS:

Just a Monday Update for our 5th STARS clinic of the season on Wednesday, February 6th at the West Resort. 

We have received 17-22 inches of fresh snow since Saturday. This last storm is expected to last till Tuesday afternoon with additional 6 inches of snow. Wednesday we will have perfect conditions and as of today all roads will be open with no restrictions on Wednesday. Please check the Mountain High website for current road conditions on Wednesday morning.  www.mthigh.com It will be in the 30’s so dress in layers and I know we will have a wonderful time.

Reminder STARS Clinic - 2/6/19

Hi STARS:

Just a reminder about our SENIOR PROGRAM STARS 5th CLINIC this coming Wednesday, February 6th at 9:00 am at West Resort.

 

Plan to get there a little early so you can purchase your ticket so you will be on time for your lesson. If you booked your lesson online, just plan on meeting me inside the Big Pines Lodge.

 

Check in will be from 8:00 am – 9:00 am.

 

The weather will be perfect with the temperatures in the high 30's and crystal clear blue skies. It will be cold, so make sure you layer for the clinic. We expect 8-10 inches of snow by Monday. I will keep you update on snow and weather conditions on Monday’s email.
