Another beautiful day at Mountain High with 46 Senior STARS taking part in our 4^th Clinic of the season. We had great coverage and the snow was soft but still skiable today at Mountain High. 

A “BIG THANK YOU” to our Groomers here at Mountain High who keep the runs “Senior Perfect” for us on Wednesdays.

Our 5^th Senior STARS Clinic of the season will be Wednesday, February 6^th at the West Resort. It looks like we will receiving anywhere from 12-18 inches of snow in the next 4 days. Next Wednesday the snow will be excellent for our STARS Program.

Monday Update

Hi STARS:

 

Just a Monday Update for our 4th SENIOR PROGRAM STARS CLINIC this coming Wednesday, January 30th at the West Resort. 

 

It's going to be a beautiful on Wednesday with sunny skies and mild temps in the low 50s so remember to wear your sunscreen. These warm temps won't last long though as more snow is possible Friday into Saturday so looks like we are in a nice weather pattern for snow to support our Senior STARS clinics.

 

Plan to get at West Resort by 8:00 am so you can purchase your lesson and lift ticket so you will be on time for your lesson.  There will only a limited amount of ticket windows open on Wednesday so I would recommend you to purchase your lesson and lift ticket online. 

 

We will meet in the Big Pines Lodge at 8:15 am and hit the snow for our group photo at 9:30 am sharp!!

 

Snow coverage is still very good even with this warm weather.! We will have another corduroy filled day this WEDNESDAY!  

 

Please RSVP ASAP for our clinic even if you buy your lesson online!

Reminder STARS Clinic 1/30/19

Good Afternoon STARS: 

 

Just a reminder STARS that we have a Senior Clinic on Wednesday, January 30^th  at the WEST RESORT!!   

 

For those who have attended the clinic on January 23^rd and have registered for online purchases of lessons just go ahead and go to www.mthigh.com/seniors

 to purchase your lesson and lift ticket. 

 

For those who did not attend a Senior clinic this season you will need to go the TICKET WINDOW AT THE WEST RESORT with your ID at 8:00 am sharp! There you will receive your Quick-E Pass ($5.00 fee) so you will be ready to purchase your lesson, lift ticket online from the comfort of your own home next week.

 

Remember the ski group you are in is very flexible. If you feel you need to move a little faster we can move you up to that group. Or if you want to move slower, talk with your instructor or myself and we will accommodate you too. We want you to have the BEST experience possible.

 

We will have beautiful weather for Wednesday. Snow is very good as we have great coverage on our runs, and the blue skies are even better.

STARS Clinic 1/23/19

Hi STARS-

We don’t have a NEW record of Seniors attending the STARS Clinic but 61 Seniors participated in our 3rd Clinic of the season. Yes 61 of them had some groom runs at 8,100 feet at the West Resort. With all these Seniors skiing and snowboarding I believe we had the run of the mountain.

At 9:00 am we welcome about 10 New Seniors to our team and also had a clinic on “How to put your ski boots on by Ron Parody! We also introduced a new snowboarder instructor to our team which was Kolby Smith. Snowboarders loved him and he did a great job working with our STARS!  THANKS KOLBY! Around 9:30 we went outside and took our group photo and then hit the chair.

The snow was fantastic as we have 16- 30 inches of snow and we have been making snow for the past tree days.We had another bluebird day with plenty of sunshine and many smiles came off the snow for lunch at noon.

STARS Update

Hi STARS:

 

Just a Monday Update for our 3rd SENIOR PROGRAM STARS CLINIC this coming Wednesday, January 23rd at the West Resort. SNOW….SNOW…. and more SNOW and we continue to make snow every night!

 

We have great coverage and 100% of the West Resort is open. We definitely will have a great time this WEDNESDAY SO DON’T DELAY AND RSVP ASAP.

 

Plan to get at West Resort by 8:00 am so you can purchase your lesson and lift ticket so you will be on time for your lesson. We will meet in the Big Pines Lodge at 8:15 am.  We will have an indoor clinic on boots for Seniors and then at 9:30 am we will take our group photo and we will go and make some turns.

 

The weather will be cool with temperatures in thelow 50’s but will have a breeze with clear blue skies. 

 

The roads open with no restrictions.  We will have another fun- filled day this WEDNESDAY!

Thank You STARS

STARS:
What a day we had today for our 2^nd STARS Clinic at Mountain High! We started the morning by checking in all the seniors for the clinic, welcoming our NEW 5 Seniors to the program and had some general announcements and got into our groups and then hit the snow.

At 9:30 we went outside and took our group photo and began our clinic. As I visited all groups this morning there was lots fun going on during the lesson. 

The snow was soft and comments from instructors and STARS said, "it was like we are cutting through butter”. 

Today was a very good day and it started out with all the roads were open and clear. We did not receive any snow this morning so it was a very easy drive to the resort. We had 20 Senior STARS cancel in the past 24 hours but that was ok, as 24 STARS participated in our 2nd clinic of the season.

Thank You STARS

Hi STARS: 

Could not have been a better day today at Mountain High West Resort. Temperature was in the mid 40’s and we had 53, yes 53 seniors take part in our first clinic of the season. Everyone got through registration without a hitch, we updated all of you on how we can grow our program, introductions of our instructors and at 9:30 we hit the snow.

Comments from our seniors and instructors were very positive and the weather and snow was our greatest asset today. We had great coverage and it looks like we will be able to make snow later on in the week. 

We had the privilege in meeting some wonderful NEW seniors to our program. Thanks to all seniors who came today! I know this is going to be a great Senior Program STARS season. 

Looking forward to see all of you on January 16th!

STARS 1-9-19

We are just 2 days away for our First STARS CLINIC OF THE 2019 season. Can you imagine, this is our 10^th year.  Here we were in February 2010.

We received 6-10 inches of New snow Sunday morning. We have 12-36 inches of snow and conditions will be perfect for Wednesday.

The following will be our schedule for our First STARS Clinic of the season: 

Mountain High West Resort- Senior Program - STARS Tickets Opens at 8:00 am Big Pine Lodge – West Resort – 

Check in 8:15 am -9:00 am 

Indoor Clinic 9:00 am -9:30 am 

On Mountain Training (Clinic) 9:30 am – 12:00 pm

Lesson : $ 25 Lift Ticket $ 10 Over 70 – “FREE” 

Rentals (New Shaped Skis) $ 15

RSVP as soon as possible so I can have enough instructors to meet your needs. Special THANKS to all those Seniors who have let me know already.
