Hi STARS:

With 6 inches of dry powder that fell on Tuesday, we had a fabulous day making sure we made a lot of tracks on the new snow. With beautiful blue skies and sunshine we could not have asked for a better day. But it is going to get better by the end of the week. We expect 8-10 inches of new snow, so next Wednesday, March 7th should be fantastic.

47 Seniors took part today for our 4th clinic of the season. We introduced 3 new seniors today and talked about getting your bindings check at least every season.

At 9:30 we went out on the snow took our photo and then up the chair. Lap after lap groups took to warm up and then instructors worked their magic so Seniors can utilized the new movement patterns with their skis. Just a great morning to ski and ride with 47 Seniors on almost perfect day.

Sunday Update

Hi STARS:

Just a Sunday Update for our 4th SENIOR PROGRAM STARS CLINIC this coming Wednesday, February 28th at the West Resort.

Plan to get at West Resort by 8:00 am so you can purchase your lesson and lift ticket so you will be on time for your lesson. We will meet in the Big Pine Lodge at 8:15 am.  

The weather will be cold with temperatures in the low 40's and projected to have clear blue skies. Snow coverage is FANTASTIC!

The roads will be open with no restrictions.  We will have another fantastic day this WEDNESDAY!

Reminder STARS Clinic 2-1818

Hi STARS:

Just a reminder of our Senior Clinic on Wednesday, February 28^th at West RESORT!! Don’t forget we will be inside at the Big Pines Lodge at 8:15 am for sign in.  The forecast holds true we will be looking at our first MAJOR SNOW STORM of the winter next Thursday and Friday, with more storms following this one.

We have currently 16-20 inches of snow at Mt High and looking at making new snow on a regular basis. So, make sure you remember what group you were in last week so we can hit the snow quickly after our group photo.

For those who are NEW to the program, you will have to go to the ticket window first and show your ID. At that point, you will be issue a reloadable lift ticket. (Quick-E ticket) Please get to the Big Pines Lodge at 8:15 am.

Remember the ski and snowboard groups that you are in are very flexible. If you feel you need to move a little faster we can move you up to that group. Or if you want to move slower, talk with your instructor or myself and we will accommodate you too. We want you to have the BEST experience possible.

Thank You STARS

Hi STARS:

Great day  for our 3^rd STARS Clinic of the season. We had 33 Seniors skiing and riding on a cold day at Mountain High with very good snow conditions. 

We introduced 3 NEW Seniors to our program and after the indoor session we hit the snow. Seniors were all smiles as winter conditions greeted our 33 Seniors today. STARS that came out and skied and rode were not disappointed. 

Hopefully we will receive some new snow this week to add to the snow we have, so we can get back on track with our 50 + Seniors each clinic.

Sunday Update

Good Evening STARS:

 

This is your Sunday night update for the STARS Program for Wednesday, February 21st at the West Resort. Tickets opens up at 8:30 am now and the lifts do not begin to spin until 9:00 am.

 

2-4 inches of snow expected tonight into tomorrow. This should provide a nice layer for our program on Wednesday too.

 

Bring your smile and plenty of energy because this Wednesday we are going to have a great time. We have great conditions at Mountain High and we will have plenty of sunshine and blue sky. Don’t forget to dress warm as temps have been dropping as well.

 

Don’t forget to get there early (by 8:30 am) if you need to purchase the lesson, lift ticket or rentals. If you have already registered for online purchases just go ahead and purchase your lesson and lift ticket online right from your own computer. Click the link to pay online:

Reminder STARS Clinic - 2-21-18

Hi STARS:

 

Just a reminder for our 3rd STARS Clinic of the season here at the Mountain High West Resort. The weather has been our friend these past few days as we have been able to make a lot of snow. Coverage is very good and we are looking for another great day for you this next Wednesday, February 21st.

Make sure you get at the ticket window by 8:30 am so you can purchase your lesson and lift ticket and meet me in the Big Pines Lodge at the West Resort. As a reminder the lifts open at 9:00 am during the week.

STARS Update

Hi STARS:

We are looking very good for next Wednesday February 21st for our STARS Clinic. We have received a dusting of snow but we have been able to make snow these past few days. With the weather being very cold it will give us an opportunity to make more snow before our next STARS Clinic on Wednesday, February 21st.

It has been a very difficult season for Mountain High but all of the instructors and I believe that this is behind us and we are looking very positive to have our winter here at Mountain High.

I will need for you to RSVP ASAP so I can plan to make sure we can accommodate all Seniors. We have cut staff so that is why we need you to let me know if you will be attending STARS Program 2-21-18.

I will be updating you Saturday with a photo of conditions and a note as well.

Reminder STARS Clinic 2-7

Good Afternoon STARS:

Just a reminder about our SENIOR PROGRAM STARS CLINIC this coming Wednesday, February 7th at 9:00 am. We will be at the WEST RESORT.

Plan to get there a little early (8:15 am) so you can purchase your ticket at 8:30 am so you will be on time for your lesson. If you book your lesson online, just plan on meeting me inside the Big Pines Lodge at the West Resort. Check in will be from 8:00 am – 9:00 am.

We will have another bluebird day this WEDNESDAY! Dress for milder temperatures and please RSVP prior to our clinic.

If you are interested in car-pooling to Mountain High, please send me an email with your carpool area and I will send out the information on Monday night’s email.

Remember if you need any ski equipment give Steve Crane a call and make an appointment at (818) 225-7669. Let Steve know I sent you and you are in the Senior Program at Mountain High and you will get a great deal!
